This position is responsible for all technical matters relating to an assigned project for an Earth Pressure Balance (EPB)/Slurry Shield TBM and Back-up System. Responsible for the machine design, and leading other engineers and drafters to meet the project engineering deadline.
Qualifications include Mechanical Engineering Degree, 10+ years of experience in related field, with at least 6 years experience designing EPB/Slurry Shield Machines, extensive knowledge of hydraulic equipment and installations, good command of the English language (both written and spoken), and availability to work 50% of time in Seattle, and 50% of time in China.
This position will be responsible for the sale of tunnel boring machines and related equipment in Hong Kong and other Asia Pacific Region countries. Based in Hong Kong, this position includes 25% travel to other Asia Pacific countries.
Qualfications include: Mechanical, Mining, or Civil Engineering Degree; 10+ years experience working in sectors related to tunneling construction in Hong Kong or other Asia Pacific countries, good command of the English language (both spoken and written); good negotiation skills; and good communication skills.
This position manages all aspects of assigned projects to produce and deliver large underground construction machinery on-time and under budget. Based in Hong Kong, this position includes 75% travel to Asia Pacific countries, as well as jobsite and subsidiary locations around the world.
Responsibilties include: develops and executes project work plans, identifies resources needed and assigns work, manages the day-to-day operational aspect of the project, and acts as the primary customer contact once a contract is signed. Qualifications include: Mechanical, Mining, or Civil Engineering Degree; 2+ years project management experience; experience in the tunneling business preferred; negotiating experience; good command of the English language (both spoken and written); and good communication skills.
Manages the scheduling systems for both internal production and external job shops to facilitate the on-time assembly of our heavy equipment product lines. Located in Solon, Ohio.
Develops, manages and maintains a Master Production Schedule and Material Requirements Plan and Capacity Plan. Confers with production, purchasing, and engineering to resolve problems affecting production schedules, and to improve on-time deliveries.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business or related field, 5+ years relevant experience, experience with MAS 500 MRP system preferred, APICS or CPIM certification a plus.
Plans, directs, and oversees activities of field service resources and personnel for assembly and commissioning of tunnel boring machines (TBMs) around the world.
Oversees and manages field service budget for resources, equipment and personnel. Maintains, oversees, and trains field service engineers and technicians on Company equipment. Reviews operational, technical, and customer performance reports to identify and define more efficient operations for future electrical systems and equipment design. Develops and coordinates on-site training on operation, maintenance and troubleshooting for the TBM. This position requires the willingness and ability to travel extensively and internationally, as well as the willingness and ability to work underground.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, 5 years experience in work with assembly, installation, and commissioning activiities for TBMs. Must have proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanical components as well as steel fabrications. The successful candidate must have a good command of spoken and written English, multilingual preferred.
Our Field Service Technician works out of our Solon, OH office, and performs field service on our tunnel boring machines at job sites around the world.
The Field Service Technician assists in machine assembly, final inspection, field installation, troubleshooting, and operation and equipment recordkeeping. When this position is not in the field, the employee works in our manufacturing shop to assist in the manufacture of our machines.
Qualifications include 2-5 years of manufacturing experience and mechanical aptitude (including experience with hydraulics, electronics, and electrical). Heavy physical effort may be required, including physical duties performed in difficult positions in and around the tunnel boring machines. Must be able to work in confined spaces (tunnels).
This Electrical Engineer/Designer is located in our Kent, WA office and is responsible to design and commission electrical systems for assigned projects to meet established specifications within predetermined time schedule.
This position will prepare written design calculations and verifications, and lay out the project design to meet the specs. This employee will also prepare electrical drawings using CAD tools; review and recommend approval and release of all detailed electrical drawings for production; coordinate with mechanical and hydraulic power designers in the creation of a Control Specification defining the operation of the machinery; and write the PLC ladder logic and GUI code to obtain the control objectives as defined in the Control Specification. Domestic and international travel to machine sites for commissioning and startup will be required.
Qualifications include: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, 3-5 years of engineering experience specifically utilizing hands-on PLC programming, expertise on at least one PLC platform (Allen-Bradley, GE, Mitsubishi, Siemens, etc.), familiarity with electrical 3 phase power circuits, electrical control circuits, and hydraulic circuits.
This position is located in Solon, OH and is responsible for the design, anaylsis, and drawing release of fluids (hydraulic, lube, water and air) systems for assigned projects to meet established specifications within predetermined time schedule.
The Hydraulics Engineer will prepare written design calculations and verifications, and review and recommend approval and release of all detailed fluids drawings for production. This position will be responsible for component standardization of fluids systems between different products/machine types, and will organize and participate in formal design reviews. Domestic and international travel is required to participate in technical meetings, to install and commission the fluids systems in workshops, and/or to inspect and troubleshoot machinery at job sites.
Qualifications include an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, 3-5 years of experience as fluids/hydraulics engineer, and full knowledge of hydraulics circuits and controls.
The CAD Manager is located in Kent, WA, and manages the CAD environment, processes and conventions for The Robbins Company.
This position will implement and manage 2D/3D CAD and PDM/PLM in multiple sites around the world. Other responsibilities include establishing the workflows, processes, and conventions for design, drafting, and data management in Solid Edge and Team Center; as well as preparing CAD operations manuals and training materials, and arranging for training of personnel in multiple sites around the world. This position will also direct IT and Engineering Department activities required for full implementation, installation, integration, and operation of Solid Edge and Team Center in all affected departments in multiple sites.
Qualifications include: BS in related field, 5+ years experience in implementation and management of 3D CAD and PDM/PLM in engineering and manufacturing environments, full knowledge of SQL, Solid Edge, Team Center and AutoCAD.
